Within the framework of a city or campus master plan, we have the expertise to look at the finer grain of a particular precinct. Moving easily between scales of the city or campus and scales of building and landscape, we are able to test a range of strategies for development. Our studies evaluate the impact of the larger plan on particular sub area development options, and similarly assess how individual proposed projects might impact, strengthen, or even alter the plan as a whole. At the University of Connecticut studies for classrooms, lecture halls and several departments for the Social Sciences at the center of the campus concluded that creating two moderately scaled buildings rather than a single large structure could better fulfill the program and could significantly define the central crossroads of the campus.
